We must have done something right last year as DDD is coming back to Ireland this time up north to Belfast.
What is DDD?
Firstly all the speakers are from the community, people who are interested in speaking register their sessions and then the rest of the community (i.e. you) vote on which talks make the day.
Session can be on anything and this is a great chance is you want to get into speaking, who knows you might be presenting at TechEd next year!
The call for speakers is now open and awaiting your submissions. Microsoft, who are sponsoring the event, have kindly offered to cover travel costs from the UK or train tickets from within Ireland (both Northern and Southern) as well as the Friday night hotel for speakers.
Like all DDD events there here will be NO Microsoft speakers presenting, just speakers from the .NET developer community; although we will have many of the Irish Developer Platform Evangelists (DPEs) on hand to help out and chat to attendees.
The day is put together by the community for the community, in other words you. The event is free to attend and will be held on Saturday 4th April so you don’t even need to take time off work. The location is still being arranged and we will let you know as soon as we get it confirmed.
The call for speakers and sessions runs from the 12th of January till the 2th February. The community can then vote on the suggested sessions from the 3rd February till the 2nd of March.
